USGA tabs Winged Foot for 2028 U.S. Open

In 2028, golf enthusiasts will head to the historic Winged Foot golf course to watch the most competitive arena in golf - U.S. Open.

U.S. Open 2028 will mark the 7th time this professional tournament returns to the Winged Food golf course, also the first return since Bryson DeChambeau was crowned in 2020 - a season without fans due to the Covid-19 epidemic.

“Winged Foot is the stand that has recorded many of the most impressive moments in golf history, and is also the place where living legends have been crowned champions. The iconic West Golf Course for Winged Foot. And we always strive to give our players the best arenas to compete in, it's really rare that an arena can be as epic as this," said John Bodenhamer, Tournament Director for know.

Winged Foot is a golf course complex consisting of two courses in the East and West, both designed by A.W. Tillinghast and opened in 1923. In 2018, Gil Hanse renovated and restored the West golf course.

Bryson DeChambeau conquered Winged Foot to be crowned U.S. Open 2020 champion

The host site U.S. Open has been officially fixed for the next 8 years. This season, the tournament will be held at the Los Angeles Country Club, L.A., Calif from June 15-18.
