Jon Rahm overcomes Collin Morikawa's big lead to win Sentry TOC 2023

Rahm was six shots behind on the 13th hole at Kapalua, on the popular Hawaiian surfing island of Maui, when he ran off three straight birdies and a 3.5m eagle putt. His final birdie gave him a 10-under 63.

Collin Morikawa started the final round with a six-stroke advantage over Scottie Scheffler -  J.J. Spaun - Matt Fitzpatrick, who shared second place. Jon Rahm was in third position with seven strokes behind Morikawa.

In the first holes, Morikawa seemed to have secured the championship when he recorded 3 birdies in a row on holes 1-4-6 with a score of -27. However, he failed to keep up his form and repeatedly made bogey mistakes on holes 14-15-16 and fell behind with -24. The birdie on the last 18 hole only helped Morikawa finish in second place with a record of -25 strokes.
