Charity Golf Tournament Raises VND 1.25 Billion to Expand Opportunities for Ethnic Minority Girls
Hosted by VinaCapital Foundation and Vietnam Children's Fund in partnership with The Grand Ho Tram and The Bluffs Grand Ho Tram, the event brought together golfers, business leaders, sponsors, and community partners who share a commitment to expanding educational opportunities for ethnic minority girls living in remote communities.

Set against the stunning coastal landscape of The Bluffs Grand Ho Tram, golfers spent the day enjoying 18 holes of championship golf while forging new connections and demonstrating how sport can bring people together for a meaningful cause. The day concluded with a Gala Dinner, where guests celebrated the tournament's achievements with an awards presentation before taking part in a charity auction, which raised additional support for the Brighter Path program.
All funds raised through the tournament will support the Brighter Path program, VinaCapital Foundation's flagship education initiative for ethnic minority girls, implemented in collaboration with a local partner, Vietnam Children's Fund Social Enterprise.

For many ethnic minority girls, staying in school is not simply a matter of academic achievement. Poverty, long distances to school, early marriage, and traditional gender expectations continue to force many to leave education before reaching their full potential. The funds raised through the tournament will help more girls remain in school, develop leadership skills, and prepare for independent futures.
Since its launch in 2010, the Brighter Path program has supported nearly 3,000 girls through scholarships, helping them stay in school and pursue higher education. Many of the ethnic scholars receive comprehensive scholarships covering their education from high school through university. All supported students have completed high school and continued to higher education at universities or colleges, with a graduation rate of up to 99%. Many have become teachers, engineers, medical doctors, and other professionals, creating opportunities not only for themselves but also for their families and communities.

Beyond scholarships, the Brighter Path Girls' Clubs help girls build confidence, develop leadership skills, and gain the knowledge they need to thrive. Established at secondary and high schools in ethnic minority communities, the clubs provide safe spaces where girls learn about reproductive and sexual health, financial literacy, legal rights, and other essential life skills. This knowledge empowers girls to challenge harmful cultural practices and become advocates for positive change in their communities. As of August 2026, the initiative includes 34 Girls' Clubs across four provinces with more than 1,500 members. School-wide activities have also reached over 24,000 students, helping create more supportive and gender-equitable learning environments.

While the tournament has come to a close, its impact will continue through the educational opportunities it creates for ethnic minority girls. By investing in girls' education, participating companies and individuals are investing not only in the future of individual students, but also in stronger families, more resilient communities, and a more inclusive future for Vietnam.
