Inside Jon Rahm's 'crazy day'

The defending champion wowed the audience with an impressive series of putts, especially on hole 15 when the ball 11 feet from the flag earned him precious eagle.

The opening tournament of the PGA Tour 2023 has officially ended with a convincing victory of Jon Rahm. Despite being 7 strokes ahead of Morikawa before the final round, the Spaniard made a spectacular comeback to win the Sentry TOC 2023 championship.

In the front-nine, Morikawa seemed to have secured the championship when he scored 3 birdies in a row on holes 1-4-6 with a score of -27. However, he failed to keep up his form and repeatedly made bogey mistakes on holes 14-15-16 and fell behind with -24. The birdie on the last 18 hole only helped Morikawa to finish in the military position with a record of -25.

Meanwhile, the Spaniard got a bogey on the first hole. But Rahm suddenly accelerated when he recorded a series of 9 birdies on holes 2-4-5-6-9-12-13-14-18 and an eagle on hole 15. He finished with a record of 63 - 10 brings the total to -27, surpassing Morikawa.
