Prize money on the PGA Tour for events held in 2023 will reach an all-time high of $460,000,000. In addition to the main events like every year, 2023 will have 13 more advanced events. This will ensure that the biggest stars in golf will have the opportunity to compete more at events, and also compete for a huge prize pool of 20 million USD per tournament (or more).
Players Championship and Tour Championship continue to hold the record for highest prize money. Below is a list of prize money for each event in the PGA Tour 2023.

Major Tournament
The Major is of course still the 4 key events that make up the prestige of the PGA Tour. However, these are not the events with the highest payouts.

FedEx Cup Playoff
Tour Championship in East Lake, Atlanta is the closing event and also the event with the largest prize fund of $75 million. However, the amount of money golfers earn at this event is called a “bonus” and does not count towards the official prize pool.

“Elevated” Events
The first event of the calendar year is the Sentry Tournament of Champions with a prize fund of $15 million, the lowest of the 8 events. The highest is the Players Championship with $25 million. The rest of the events have a prize fund of $20 million.

Opposite-field Events
There are 4 events that run parallel to a big event or an advanced event but still with high bonuses. More importantly, golfers winning at these small events will open the door to participating in tournaments at a higher level.

PGA Tour events
Other stops on the PGA Tour schedule also have big prize pools.

To sum up, the 2023 PGA Tour will have 38 events with a total prize money of up to $460,000,000. Much higher than the 47 events in the entire 2021-22 PGA Tour schedule that totaled $421,800,000.
