Building golf’s new global pathway
“At its core, the pathway is life-changing - it gives players the chance to redefine their careers at the highest level.”
What has kept your passion for leading The International Series alive?
What continues to inspire me is seeing the impact we make on every country we visit. The Series is about growing the game, uncovering new talent, and creating opportunities for players to compete on a global stage.
Each event reinforces that mission - whether it’s giving emerging players a platform or helping develop the sport in new markets. Those moments of progress are what keep the passion alive.
Partnerships are also central to that growth. Across markets like Japan, Morocco and the Philippines, strong local support allows us to build something meaningful and sustainable.
At the same time, the player journeys are incredibly rewarding. Seeing talents progress to LIV Golf - like Yosuke Asaji returning to compete on home soil, or Miguel Tabuena becoming the first Filipino to secure full-time status - highlights the real impact of what we are building.
Where does The International Series sit in today’s golf ecosystem?

The International Series represents a group of elevated events on the Asian Tour, co-sanctioned with LIV Golf. These tournaments feature stronger fields, increased prize funds, and a mix of top Asian Tour players, LIV Golf stars and Major champions.
More importantly, it has become a meaningful pathway in global golf. Beyond LIV Golf, select events also offer direct access to the Majors, reinforcing their role as a launchpad for talent - particularly from emerging markets.
We now have a clear progression: from the Asian Development Tour to the Asian Tour, to The International Series, and ultimately to LIV Golf and the Majors. That structure provides clarity and direction for the next generation of players.
What is the real value of the pathway to LIV Golf?
At its core, it is life-changingmade the decision to return to a natural one. The International Series brings together a diverse, global field, giving players the opportunity to compete alongside Major champions and some of the best in the world. That level of exposure and competition can redefine a career.

Richard T. Lee is a strong example. His performances on The International Series earned him a place at LIV Golf Promotions, where he secured a Wild Card spot, and soon after competed against players like Bryson DeChambeau.
That kind of progress - from opportunity to elite competition - is what makes this pathway so important.
What does success look like in the next 3–5 years?
Success for us goes beyond individual tournaments. It’s about building something with lasting impact. We want to expand into new markets, elevate tournaments with strong local identity - particularly National Opens - and continue strengthening the overall ecosystem around the Series.
At the same time, it’s about creating more opportunities for players around the world to access elite competition and progress in their careers. We are taking deliberate steps toward that vision, with the goal of leaving a legacy in every destination we visit.

Why is Japan such an important stop?
Japan has a deep golfing heritage and continues to produce high-level players. Bringing The International Series here allows those players to compete on home soil in a world-class environment, which is something we are very proud of. The success of last year’s event made the decision to return a natural one, supported by strong local partnerships.
