Queen Sirikit Cup 2026 tees off as Vietnam women’s team ready for challenge
This year’s tournament runs from May 12-15 and features 13 countries and territories, including China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong China, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
The Queen Sirikit Cup is played over 72 holes across four rounds in a stroke-play format, with both individual and team competitions taking place simultaneously. In the team event, the best two scores out of three players from each team are counted toward the daily total.
Vietnam’s women’s team is represented by Le Chuc An, Nguyen Viet Gia Han and Anna Le. The trio also represented Vietnam at the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand last year.

Ahead of the tournament, Vietnam received a confidence boost during the official practice round when Nguyễn Viết Gia Hân recorded a hole-in-one on the par-3 7th hole at Sentul Highlands Golf Club. The memorable ace not only created a special moment for the young Vietnamese golfer, but also added momentum and confidence for the team entering one of the region’s premier amateur events.
The Queen Sirikit Cup once again highlights the strength and depth of women’s amateur golf in the Asia-Pacific region. Among the 39 players in this year’s field, two are ranked inside the top 20 of the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), while nine players are currently inside the top 65.
As Vietnamese women’s golf continues to make steady progress on the regional stage, the participation of Lê Chúc An, Nguyễn Viết Gia Hân and Anna Lê is expected to provide valuable international experience and mark another important step in the development of Vietnam’s next generation of female golfers.
