Nelly Korda signs multiyear equipment deal with TaylorMade
The eight-time winner on the LPGA Tour, major champion and Olympic Gold Medalist will play a full bag of TaylorMade equipment and TP5 golf ball.
On January 15, the second seed of the women's golf village Nelly Korda officially announced that she had parted ways with Swedish fashion brand J.Lindeberg to sign a lucrative contract with the giant Nike.
Shortly after, on January 16, TaylorMade announced that it had officially signed a long-term contract with Nelly Korda. The deal between the two parties spans many years and the golf queen will become the brand ambassador for this brand, using TaylorMade branded golf clubs, bag bags, golf balls and hats.
Prior to that, the eight-time LPGA Tour champion, including a major, served as an ambassador for Titleist. Korda rose to the top of women's golf during her time with Titleist, but according to the 24-year-old, she wanted to find an opportunity to take her skills to the next level with TaylorMade.
Korda is still in beta with TaylorMade devices. Her gear for the opening match of the LPGA 2023, Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions at Lake Nona includes TaylorMade's new Stealth 2 HD 9-degree driver, Stealth 2 fairway woods, P770/P7MC irons, pair of clubs wedge Milled Grind 3. The American golfer finished in 4th place with an overall record - 11 strokes.
Nelly Korda is the name that dominates the women's golf village 2020-21. In the 2022 season, she was forced to leave the field for 4 months to undergo surgery on her left hand due to a blood clot. After re-appearing, Korda had a time to "lose" his form when he did not win any positive results. Her eighth career victory at the Pelican Women's Championship 2022 helped Korda regain the world No. 1 position, before losing the title to Lydia Ko.
“We are looking forward to working with Nelly Korda to accomplish her goals in the near future. That means more major championships on the LPGA Tour,” said TaylorMade CEO David Abeles.
In addition to signing with Korda, TaylorMade is also said to be close to reaching an agreement with another LPGA star, Brooke Henderson.
