Lee Kyoung Hoon holds off Jordan Spieth to defend title in Texas  

Scored -26 after 4 rounds, the Korean golfer finished one ahead of Spieth and became just the fourth back-to-back winner in AT&T Byron Nelson history.

The 30-year-old golfer, who came into the event with just one top-10 since his breakthrough PGA Tour win in last year's event. Overcame a four-stroke deficit during a low-scoring final day at TPC Craig Ranch, Lee Kyoung Hoon once again claimed an impressive victory at AT&T Byron Nelson.

Before the final round of the AT&T Byron Nelson 2022 tournament, Sebastian Munoz and Jordan Spieth are considered to have chances to win the championship. However, Lee Kyoung Hoon had a great performance on TPC Craig Ranch to take the lead with a total of -22 strokes after the first 9 holes.

In the back-nine, Lee Kyoung Hoon continued to maintain his form to  carded a bogey-free 63 to end the week on 26 under, breaking the tournament record he set 12 months earlier. With the victory this week, the world No 88 became the first golfer since Tom Watson in 1980 to claim successive AT&T Byron Nelson titles.

Jordan Spieth narrowly missed out on a second successive PGA Tour victory.

Jordan Spieth finished the pace with a five-under 67, while a final-round 62 pushed Hideki Matsuyama to tie for third place alongside temporary-leader Sebastian Munoz. Justin Thomas claimed a share of fifth alongside Ryan Palmer and Xander Schauffele with -24 strokes.

Successfully defending the AT&T Byron Nelson title, Lee Kyoung Hoon pocketed a prize money of $1.63 million.
