Le Khanh Hung and Doan Xuan Khue Minh won Southern Open Championship 2022
The Southern Open Championship, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Golf Association and the Professional Golf Joint Stock Company (Golf Pro), took place on June 20, 2022 at Tan Son Nhat golf course with the participation of 130 golfers.
This is the first year, HGA organizes the Tournament with the aim of creating a playground for golfers with a handicap index of 0.0 - 9.0 and has brought together amateur single handicap golfers to compete against each other, bringing a professional playing field and a professional playing field. challenging for golf enthusiasts, thereby aiming for high-performance golf in the future.
The Southern Open Singles Championship is considered as a rehearsal tournament to find young talents for the Union Cup Southern team of the Ho Chi Minh City Golf Association starting in 2023 at Dam Vac.
With a total score of 67 strokes, golfer Le Khanh Hung won the Men's group and received 23 million VND, and also a representative to attend the Race To Scotland journey to visit St Andrew's golf course.
Men's second place with a total score of 75 strokes belonged to golfers Nguyen Anh Tu, Mai Trong Luu, Nguyen Van Thong. The fifth place with a total score of 76 strokes belonged to golfers Duong Quoc Tuynh and Nguyen Tuan Anh (JR). With 77 strokes, the seventh place belonged to golfers: Do Duy Hien, Tran Lam, Tran Tan Hoang, Nguyen Tuan Viet and Dang Quang Anh, respectively.
In the Women's group, golfer Doan Xuan Khue Minh won the championship with a total of 73 strokes and earned a cash prize of 23 million VND. Women's second place belonged to Pham Thi Kim Nguyen (82 strokes), two golfers tied for third place in the Women's group are Ngo Ngoc Nhi and Anna Le with a total score of 85 strokes.
