The Bluffs Accelerates Smart Turf Management With AI And Drone Technology

Turflogic and Thompson Golf Management have completed an on-site demonstration and initial course capture at The Bluffs at Grand Ho Tram, working closely with the course superintendent to showcase how AI-powered drone imagery and data analytics can support daily turf management decisions.

The session featured a live drone survey of the course followed by a detailed walkthrough of the Turflogic platform, including Turfscore health indexing, Turfstory historical tracking, topographic and irrigation mapping, and stress map generation. The team also introduced several of the platform’s latest capabilities, including John Deere integration for variable-rate GPS spray applications, shapefile creation for area monitoring, and real-time METOS sensor integration.

As golf course management continues to evolve, integrating field data, aerial imagery, and equipment into a unified workflow is becoming increasingly important for maintaining consistent course conditions, improving resource efficiency, and delivering an international-standard playing experience.

The next phase will see Turflogic process the captured data, build a digital twin of the course, and return to review the full results with the superintendent and General Manager, a significant step forward in bringing precision turf management to The Bluffs.
