12 teams and 48 players compete at the opening event of LIV Golf League 2023

Opening the season in Mexico is a significant marker for golf’s first truly global league and LIV Golf’s Commissioner & CEO Greg Norman.

The field features Mexican and global stars at the picturesque El Camaleón Golf Course. It marks LIV Golf League’s debut at El Camaleón Mayakoba, the start of a full schedule of 14 events in 2023 with 12 teams and 48 players competing throughout the year.

Global stars, including two home favourites in Abraham Ancer and Carlos Ortiz, will tee it up on the 7,062-yard par-71 layout – designed by LIV Golf Commissioner & CEO Greg Norman – beginning their pursuit of the season long LIV Golf League Individual and Team Championships. The course on the Riviera Maya is famed for its breathtaking beach views and unique cenote bunker feature on the 7th hole.
