[Southern region] Vietnam Caddies Championship 2022: Lighting the fire of passion 06:00, 13/09/2022

On September 12, 136 caddies from Southern golf courses gathered at Tan Son Nhat Golf Course to compete at the Vietnam Caddies Championship 2022, the most awaited tournament of the year for caddies. Along with the excitement of the caddies after 2 years of not being able to compete because of the influence of the Covid 19, the weather at HCMC was bright and sunny with white, fluffy clouds drifting across the clear, blue sky.

Before officially entering the official round, the caddies participated in an exciting putt and chip minigame. This warm-up was about to boost the strength for caddies to play at their best.

After hours of intense competition, the tournament has found worthy owners for the prizes. Best Gross belongs to caddie Nguyen Van Thuong (from Long Thanh Golf Course) with 76 strokes. This achievement brought him many valuable rewards such as Championship Trophy, Honma Bezeal club, club bag, Noressy clothing set, and especially a valuable golf coach training scholarship from 72+ Golf Academy.

I look forward to having the opportunity to participate in the next seasons”, Caddie Nguyen Van Thuong shared. 

The Vietnam Caddies Championship 2022 left memorable memories with the grand awarding Gala night with many special performances from the caddies.

During the Gala night, representatives of the Organizing Committee, sponsors and the Director of Tan Son Nhat Golf Course shared their enthusiasm with the caddies.

“Over the past four seasons, the Vietnam Caddies Championship has contributed to the development of the golf movement in Vietnam in general and opened up a quality playground for caddies to exchange, learn from experience as well as give wings to those who want to follow the professional golf path. All of you had an exciting day of competition and everyone was on fire on the golf course. Tonight's party, let's get close together to record this happy and warm moment. See you all caddies in the next season.”

Mr. Tran Ngoc Hai – Director of Tan Son Nhat Golf Course, representative of Vietnam Golf Association shared: “A good caddie will always bring golfers memorable experiences and become a mentor accompanying the winning golfers on the course. Therefore, Tan Son Nhat Golf Course always focuses on strategic training and skill training for caddies. Once again, I would like to thank Vietnam Golf & Leisure, Vietnam Golf Association, Ho Chi Minh City Golf Association and all caddies participating in today's tournament for a memorable and emotional day.”

Mrs. Nguyen Huong Que - Director of Dai Lai Golf Course, sponsors’ representative, who inspires caddies: “As a companion of the event for 4 seasons, I am very happy here tonight. My starting point is also a caddy and have been with golf for nearly 20 years, going through all the positions in the golf course before becoming the Sales Director of Dai Lai Golf Course. Hopefully after this tournament, in addition to continuing to serve our customers, we will nurture the fire of passion for the profession to step by step progress in the future, and make the country's golf industry more and more developed”.

• 1st Runner Up: Nguyen Khoa Nam (81 strokes)
• 2nd Runner Up: Nguyen Duc Khoai (84 strokes)

• Winner: Nguyen Van Ty (87 strokes)
• 1st Runner Up: Nguyen Thanh Dung (88 strokes)
• 2nd Runner Up: Ho Nguyen Bao (89 strokes)

Division C (HDC 26-36)

• Winner: Thai Hoang An (99 strokes)
• 1st Runner Up: Pham Hoa Binh (99 strokes)
