Leaving the heritage landscape of Ninh Binh behind, the judging panel travelled into the limestone valley of Hoa Binh (now Phu Tho Province) to experience the Champion Course, one of the resort's three 18-hole layouts. From the opening holes, an expansive panorama unfolded as towering limestone formations embraced each fairway, creating a striking visual identity that left a lasting impression throughout the round.

Set within a dramatic valley, the fairways weave across lush turf, framed by rows of palm trees and the site's natural terrain. Every tee box reveals a new perspective, giving each hole its own distinct character. The seamless integration of the landscape into the course design is what sets Phoenix apart, where nature is not merely a backdrop but an integral part of the golfing experience.

According to Mr. Oh Sang Jun, a member of the Vietnam Golf & Leisure Awards judging panel, Phoenix boasts one of the most spectacular limestone mountain settings of any golf course in Vietnam. "The rocky mountain landscape at Phoenix is truly one of the course's most valuable assets. These natural formations create a powerful visual identity, framing many of the golf holes and leaving golfers with a lasting impression."

Beyond its breathtaking scenery, Phoenix CV Golf & Resort also showcases the results of its recent renovation. The greens are presented in excellent condition, providing smooth and consistent putting surfaces that enhance the overall playing experience. While the course offers a more forgiving challenge suitable for golfers of various skill levels, it continues to deliver the character and atmosphere expected of a championship venue.

The judging panel also noted that there remains room for further enhancement, particularly on the fairways. After more than two decades of operation, continued investment in turf management and fairway improvement would further elevate course conditioning and better complement the exceptional natural setting.

Beyond the golf course itself, the clubhouse serves as the hub of the Phoenix experience. Featuring a newly upgraded clubhouse, 634 lockers, 164 guest rooms and a full-service restaurant, the resort offers a comprehensive hospitality ecosystem designed to meet golfers' needs for competition, accommodation, dining and relaxation, all set against the backdrop of the surrounding mountain scenery.

The judging panel also praised the resort's food and beverage offering. Designed to cater to its large Korean clientele, the menu is executed to a high standard, with authentic Korean cuisine standing out as one of the highlights of the overall guest experience.

Concluding the third day of the inspection tour, Phoenix CV Golf & Resort left a strong impression with its extraordinary natural landscape and revitalised appearance. Surrounded by dramatic limestone mountains, every hole offers a unique perspective, creating a memorable and distinctive golfing journey. With its remarkable natural setting and continued commitment to enhancement, Phoenix continues to reinforce its position as one of Northern Vietnam's most distinctive golf destinations.
