VGV Championship Danang 2026: A Milestone in Event Organization and a Turning Point for the Golf Tourism Model

The third stage of the VGV Championship Danang 2026 concluded in Da Nang with international scale and seamless operations. Building on recognition from the tourism industry, the event clearly reflects the evolution of golf in Vietnam, where competition, leisure, and experience are increasingly integrated into a single journey.

From Industry Recognition to Shaping a New Model

The recognition of the Visit Golf Vietnam project as “Most Outstanding Unique Tourism Product 2025” at the VITA Awards marks an important milestone for the integration of golf and resort experiences.

Moving into 2026, this direction becomes even clearer as activities go beyond tournament organization, expanding toward integrated services tailored to international travelers seeking high-value, personalized experiences.

In this context, golf is no longer a standalone activity but is becoming part of a broader lifestyle tourism ecosystem—an emerging trend across many markets in the region.

Da Nang Edition: Scale, Operations, and Experience

VGV Championship Danang 2026 brought together around 240 golfers and 80 guests from countries including Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, South Korea, England, and Scotland, highlighting the tournament’s growing international appeal.

A key highlight of this year’s edition lies in its seamless operations—from reception and transportation to tournament coordination—executed in a synchronized and efficient manner. At the same time, the experience element was carefully integrated, combining competition, leisure, and side activities to create a more complete event structure.

Sharing this direction, the Head of the Visit Golf Vietnam project noted that the goal goes beyond organizing a tournament, aiming instead to build a comprehensive golf lifestyle platform where golfers can enjoy a seamless journey—from competition and relaxation to cultural exploration—with consistent standards.

This approach reflects efforts to elevate organizational quality while moving toward standardizing the golf–tourism model in Vietnam. More than just a tournament, the event also promotes destinations and expands access to high-spending travelers.

According to the plan, the tournament system will continue to expand to new destinations, including Northern mountainous regions, to diversify experiences and leverage Vietnam’s unique landscapes.
