In New York, Rupert Blease worked at three-starred Thomas Keller’s ‘Per Se’ which is frequently acknowledged as the best restaurant in the USA and amongst the best in the world.

Carrie progressed her culinary experience in New York at ‘Blue Hill’, also a Michelin-starred restaurant of note. In 2011, they moved to San Francisco, where both were cooking in different restaurants - she cooked at ‘Commonwealth’ and he at ‘Central Kitchen’.

They opened ‘Lord Stanley’ in 2015 and received a Michelin star the following year.

“We are very excited to be stopping in Ho Chi Minh City during our Asian tour,” Rupert said. “It is a wonderful opportunity to have a whole new audience experience the style of cooking we have developed during our careers.”

Carrie added that she was eager to also delve into the local cuisine. “Vietnamese food is rightly revered around the world, so I really can’t wait to try it first hand and see what elements I can adapt and use at our restaurant,” she said.
