On June 9, the Ho Chi Minh City Golf Association (HGA) held the Announcement Ceremony of the Southern Open Championship at Tan Son Nhat Golf Course. The program has the participation of representatives of the Association's leaders, members, sponsors and media agencies.

Over 17 years of establishment and development, HGA is not only known as one of the oldest Golf Associations in Vietnam, but has strongly contributed to the development of the golf movement in Ho Chi Minh City. in particular and the country in general with a system of prestigious and quality tournaments. HGA leads the movement of developing the Southern golfer community, training young talents, golfing with achievements and the most special thing when golf is associated with community responsibility, joining hands to help disadvantaged people to create noble human values.

However, with the desire to refresh the competition formats and create a top-notch environment for golfers with low Handicap skills in the Southern region. This year, the organizer HGA and Professional Golf Joint Stock Company (Golf Pro) will organize the Southern Open Singles Championship with the participation of the National Golf Referee Council to improve the quality of the tournament.

This is the first year, HGA organizes the Tournament with the aim of creating a playground for golfers with handicap index from 0.0 to 9.0, bringing a professional and challenging golf experience to golf enthusiasts, thereby aiming for high-performance golf in the future.

 The Southern Open Singles Golf Championship will officially start on June 20, 2022 at Tan Son Nhat golf course, Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of 130 golfers - professional organization scale, quality. professional quality with a total cash prize value of up to VND 200 million for the Champion + Top 10 prize for Men and the Champion - Second - Third for Women with the best Gross (Gross) score. The Men's Championship will receive a golf tour to London & Scotland from sponsor Blue and the Women's Championship will receive an air ticket from sponsor Vietnam Airlines.
