As the only golf course situated within Hanoi's urban area, Long Bien Golf Course offers more than just exceptional accessibility. It is also one of Vietnam's busiest golf facilities. According to the club's management, the course accommodates nearly 500 rounds per day, placing it among the country's highest-volume golf operations. Despite the heavy traffic, tee-time management, caddie services and guest hospitality operated seamlessly throughout the inspection, reflecting a highly efficient and professional operation.

Designed by Nelson & Haworth, Long Bien features 27 PGA-standard holes divided into three distinct nine-hole layouts, each presenting its own character and strategic challenges. Carefully positioned bunkers, water hazards and undulating terrain create engaging shot-making opportunities, while mature tree-lined fairways provide a peaceful natural setting that contrasts with the bustling energy of Vietnam's capital city.

What stood out most during the judging panel's visit, however, was not the layout itself, which has already earned widespread recognition over the years but the consistently outstanding course conditions. The greens measured approximately 9.2 feet on the Stimpmeter, a speed commonly associated with professional tournament standards. Smooth, true and remarkably consistent across all 27 holes, the putting surfaces demonstrated the meticulous maintenance required to sustain such quality despite the course's exceptionally high daily usage. For the judges, this was one of the clearest indicators of the club's strong course management capabilities.

As daylight fades, Long Bien transitions seamlessly into another phase of operation. Its international-standard floodlighting system illuminates every hole, delivering excellent visibility and allowing golfers to enjoy a premium night golf experience. Beyond extending operating hours, the lighting system represents a competitive advantage shared by only a limited number of golf courses in Vietnam, offering busy golfers greater flexibility while maximising the benefits of the club's prime urban location.

Beyond the course itself, the judging panel also praised Long Bien's comprehensive hospitality facilities. The nearly 10,000-square-metre clubhouse houses spacious locker rooms, modern shower and sauna facilities, providing golfers with a comfortable place to relax after their round. The A La Carte Restaurant serves an extensive selection of Asian and Western cuisine, thoughtfully prepared to accommodate both domestic and international guests.
