The hottest event of the VGA Tour
The National Golf Championship - VinFast Cup 2022 is the first time in the 17-year history of the tournament to be held as a professional tournament exclusively for Vietnamese athletes. Just one week after registration opened, 100 athletes registered to compete in the tournament, achieving more than 60% of the maximum number of athletes allowed (100/160 athletes) in a record short time.

Biggest purse in VGA Tour history
The field at this year’s event will compete for a whopping 1,2 billion VND. The VinFast Cup 2022 purse was 1 billion VND for the male group, and 200 million VND for the female group, which was easily the biggest in Vietnam golf history at this point.
VGA Tour Champions crowned with a record score
A month after taking the Lexus Challenge’s throne, Nguyen Anh Minh continued to have a wire to wire win at the National Golf Championship with a record score -5 after 4 rounds, becoming the lowest-scoring champion of the Male group in the 17-year history of this tournament.
Along with that, Doan Xuan Khue Minh also set a record when winning the female group with a total score of -7 strokes.
Golfers delivered impressive performance on VGA Tour
Besides Nguyen Anh Minh, Doan Xuan Khue Minh, golfers participate in the Vietnamese golf team at the 31 SEA Games all had good results, such as Le Khanh Hung (T-8), Nguyen Dang Minh (T-11), Pham Thi Yen Vi (T-3). , Le Chuc An (T-4), e.t.c.
This is a good sign before the national team competes at SEA Games 31.
Truong Chi Quan missed the cut
Despite being a golfer holding a record of 4 National Championships (2014, 2015, 2016, 2018), Truong Chi Quan soon said goodbye to the tournament at Vinpearl Golf Hai Phong.
After two rounds with the same result of 79 strokes (+14), the golfer born in 1988 was not eligible to make the cut.
The cut off of the National Golf Championship – VinFast Cup settled at 12-over-par for the male group and 14-over-par for the female.
Youngest female golfer in history
11-year-old golfer Nguyen Viet Gia Han became the youngest female golfer in Vietnam's 17-year professional tournament history. Although only 11 years old, Gia Han has participated in many golf tournaments and possesses certain achievements.
At the 2022 National Golf Championship, Nguyen Viet Gia Han finished T-6 with a total score of +8 strokes.
Hole in one
National Golf Championship - VinFast Cup 2022 recorded 2 aces from Le Chuc An and Nguyen Huy Thang.
Le Chuc An scored HIO in the second round on the hole 17 (par-3, 103 yards). Nguyen Huy Thang achieved HIO in the 3rd round on the 148-yard 17th hole.
This is the first HIO in the golf career of Chuc An and Huy Thang.
