Reaffirming its position as the iconic art hotel in the city centre, Hôtel des Arts Saigon remains dedicated to honoring cultural storytelling through a refined artistic lens with the launch of its 2026 Mooncake Collection. Inspired by the grace of the Vietnamese Ao Dai, “Muse des Arts” emerges as a muse directly from the hotel’s own artistic spaces, carrying a timeless beauty that seamlessly harmonizes with the rhythm of contemporary life.

The Elegant Gift for The Spirit of Reunion

The “Muse des Arts” Mooncake Collection presents an exclusive masterpiece adorned in a sophisticated, trend-setting Sage Green, meticulously crafted entirely from exquisite lacquerware. Rooted in the Latin word “Salvia,” meaning “to heal,” this unique shade of green whisper stories of inner peace, pure elegance, and an effortless, natural charm. The box features a stately two-tier structure, with its interior lined in plush velvet. The collection debuts with two premium editions: Deluxe Charm featuring four curated mooncakes, and Premium Allure which elevates the mid-autumn ritual with four cakes paired with an imperial green tea. Each mooncake is meticulously crafted to perfection with 180g per cake, offering four signature flavors: Seafood with Hong Kong sauce and salted egg yolk, Chrysanthemum & Goji berry with salted egg yolk, Lotus seed & pandan with salted egg yolk, and Matcha & red bean.

Embracing the philosophy of sustainable luxury and enriching the guest experience, Hôtel des Arts Saigon has prioritized high-quality materials designed for longevity. Every “Muse des Arts” box is crafted to be a timeless piece of art. Long after the full moon celebrations fade, this masterpiece transitions into a new journey - reimagined as an elegant vanity tray, a sophisticated jewelry box, or a safe keeper for a family's most cherished mementos.

Ao Dai – A Living Heritage for the Present and Beyond

For over a decade, the silhouette of the Vietnamese Ao Dai has vibrantly lived within every delicate touchpoint of Hôtel des Arts Saigon. Right from the main entrance, the hotel's signature architectural curves mirror the soft, fluid grace of a fluttering Ao Dai. This heritage narrative flows effortlessly into the hotel's curated art collection. Through the visionary lenses of dedicated artists, the serene and noble beauty of the Vietnamese woman in her traditional attire is reimagined across various graceful art forms, subtly weaving a tale of an enduring cultural icon. This homage comes alive through the exclusive staff uniforms designed by the renowned designer Thuy Nguyen. On these garments, the intricate integration of the Chrysanthemum Grandiflorum onto soft, flowing fabrics beautifully accentuates the ethereal and radiant grace of the women. In Vietnamese culture, this grand chrysanthemum is not merely a festive bloom, but a profound symbol of resilience, inner strength, and quiet pride.

Awakening Heritage Memories

On July 20, 2026, Hôtel des Arts Saigon proudly hosted the launch event for the 2026 Mooncake Collection with the theme “Muse des Arts.” Far beyond a product preview, the event unfolded as a multi-sensory artistic sanctuary where the spirit of the Vietnamese Ao Dai was fully and vividly awakened. The event opened with a captivating performance charting the proud historical evolution of the traditional Vietnamese Ao Dai through the eras. Every movement of the early silhouettes, which transformed over generations into a national heritage treasure, blended seamlessly with the deep, soulful melodies of the Dan Bau (Vietnamese monochord), creating a profoundly moving experience. In collaboration with Lotus Gallery, the launch space became a cultural crossroads celebrating the diverse beauty of Vietnamese women across the North, Central, and South regions through the aesthetic perspectives of prominent contemporary painters.

Guests were invited to admire “Tuổi Thanh Xuân” (Youth - 2016) and “Trong Vườn” (In the Garden - 2018) by artist Do Ngoc Diep, where nostalgic, muted tones captured the rustic daily life and peaceful memories of an ancient Hanoi. The narrative then journeyed southward with “Thướt Tha” (Graceful - 2000s) by artist Luong Ngoc Dung, which subtly captured the gentle charm of Southern women enveloped in their flowing silks and traditional conical hats. Finally, the cultural depth of the ancient capital was unveiled through two acrylic masterpieces by Phan Linh Bảo Hạnh: “Đàn Cò” (The Flock of Storks - 2014), showcasing the proud intersection of traditional musical resonance and the Ao Dai form, and “Bồ Công Anh” (Dandelion - 2011), which utilizes the imagery of wind-borne petals to celebrate the inner strength, free spirit, and unyielding identity of the Vietnamese woman.

The Hôtel des Arts Saigon “Muse des Arts” Mooncake Collection is priced from VND 2,288,000 for the four-piece box to VND 2,488,000 for the premium four-piece box with imperial green tea.
