Nestled within the heart of the ancient forest adjacent to Lang Co Bay, Laguna Lang Co Golf Course stands out as one of the most appealing golf courses and resort complexes in Vietnam. Despite our numerous visits for assessments, we are continually drawn back to experience its offerings. Each time we return to the golf course, we collectively feel a surge of excitement and a desire to tackle the challenging yet profoundly rewarding golf holes that it presents.

Created by Sir Nick Faldo, Laguna Lang Co is an 18-hole, par-71 golf course that meets international standards, providing a challenge for golfers of all skill levels. It is regarded as one of Sir Nick Faldo's finest designs in Vietnam thus far. The natural features of the landscape have been skillfully incorporated into the course's terrain. It exhibits the traits of a links course, with a black tee length reaching up to 7,100 yards.

Laguna Lang Co has been skillfully designed by Nick Faldo to preserve 3 hectares of rice fields. This initiative reflects a deep appreciation for nature, as the rice fields at Laguna Lang Co yield an impressive annual harvest of up to 30 tonnes, which serves both the resort's requirements and supports local orphanages.

The golf course features an exquisite par-3 hole 8 that offers stunning views of the sea, captivating golfers with its beauty. However, it presents a significant challenge due to the numerous dense bunkers positioned in front. Additionally, the par-5 hole 18 poses its difficulties, with sand traps flanking both sides and an unpredictable uphill slope. Despite these challenges, this hole is visually striking, with the clubhouse situated ahead and a sweeping view of the course on either side. Achieving a par score on this hole will undoubtedly bring immense satisfaction to golfers.

Following an exhilarating round of golf on an unusually cool day in the Central region, we enjoyed a private dinner with the new General Manager of the course, Stephen Banks, and the Marketing Director, Thuy Le.

Mr. Stephen, an expert in Australian Golf Development Solutions, has surveyed numerous prestigious golf courses worldwide; however, he remains captivated by the distinctive beauty of the Laguna Lang Co course. This admiration stems from the course's intimate surroundings, which feature golden rice fields, the unspoiled deep blue ocean, and the impressive mountain ranges that encircle the 18 holes.

This golf course can be regarded as the definitive “signature” course that embodies Sir Nick Faldo's most significant influence in Vietnam. Furthermore, it serves as Faldo’s “brainchild,” allowing him to refine and enhance it with each visit, striving for perfection. This dedication is evident in his choice to host the esteemed Faldo Series event here annually, aimed at identifying emerging golf talents across Asia.
