Press conference BRG Open Golf Championship Da Nang: Waiting for dramatic matches 03:30, 30/08/2022

Attending the press conference at BRG Da Nang Golf Resort with the participation of Mr. Mark Reeves - Director of Golf and Real Estate Business of BRG Group, title sponsor and venue of the tournament; Mr. Chokchai Boonprasert - Tournament Director, expert in organizing Asia's leading international golf tournaments, and Mr. Ken Kudo - Deputy Director of ADT Partnership.

In particular, the meeting also had the presence of 3 international professional athletes who came to Vietnam to compete for the first time. That is Thai golfer ranked 495 in the world, top 4 on ADT's bonus ranking - Chanat Sakulpolphaisan; American golfer ranked 530 in the world, top 6 on ADT's prize money rankings – Dodge Kemmer, and Australian golfer Harrison Gilbert – top 12 on ADT prize money rankings.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Thao - Deputy Director of Danang Department of Culture and Sports said: "We have carefully prepared for the tournament and believe that through this golf activity, Danang city will attract golf tourists and famous golfers in the world, thereby promoting Da Nang as a dynamic and attractive golf tourism destination.”

Meanwhile, according to Mr. Ken Kudo - Deputy Director of ADT Partnership: "Vietnam is one of the bright spots on the world golf map. We have seen the birth of many golf courses and the growth in the number of golfers. I believe Vietnam has a lot of potential to develop professional golf if it is properly invested. It would be great if ADT could be held regularly in Vietnam.”

Also at the press conference, 3 professional golfers, Chanat, Kemmer and Gilbert, all expressed their excitement when they came to participate in the tournament for the first time in Vietnam and hoped that this would be a memorable experience in their career.

BRG Open Golf Championship Da Nang took place officially from August 31 to September 2 with the participation of 115 athletes, in which the faces currently leading the ADT's prize money chart were present. Accordingly, rounds 1 and 2 will compete all day and the final round will only compete in the morning of September 2. The cut will be determined after the 2nd day of competition to select 50 athletes and tie for the right to compete in the final.

In the framework of the series of events to promote Danang golf tourism, on the afternoon of September 30, the Pro-Am tournament with the participation of 33 professional golfers and 99 amateur golfers in the Scramble format took place successfully on the course. After the Pro-Am tournament, the opening ceremony of the Danang Golf Tourism Festival 2022 welcomed the golfers participating in the BRG Open Golf Championship Danang 2022 was held at the Sheraton Grand Danang Resort, with the participation of many leaders of Da Nang city.
