Hole of the Month: Owatonna Country Club - hole #13

The Owatonna Country Club is regarded as one of the top private golf courses in southern Minnesota and is famous for its hole #13.

Located on 140 acres of rolling hills, rivers and lakes, the golf course was designed to incorporate all of the natural settings that made a challenging golf course. Hole #13 is a new hole that was open for play in 2012. The hole sets up well from the tee box. Overlooking Lake Kohlmeier and the trees behind the green that frame the hole, this par 3 resembles that of a par 3 you would see in Northern Minnesota. This big green has a narrow oval shape and hitting the right distance is required to keep your ball on the green. Even though the distance does not look like much, the hazards on this short par 3 make it a test for golfers of all skill levels.
