For over three decades, Hanoi Hotel has remained a cherished name when it comes to authentic Hong Kong-style mooncakes. This year, the tradition continues with the launch of the Mooncake Collection 2025 - Glow, a tribute to moonlit serenity and heartfelt reunion.

Glow - A story beneath the golden moon

Each Mid-Autumn season marks not only a continuation of this proud legacy but also a new chapter in its story. Embracing pastel yellow and light blue as the primary palette, Glow paints a dreamy picture, where white lunar rabbits parade with starlit lanterns, spring into the air while striking festive drums with joyful energy, and leap gracefully around the radiant full moon in the Forest of Blue Chrysanthemums. Every detail is meticulously illustrated, bringing to life an enchanting atmosphere that evokes the spirit of the Mid-Autumn season.

A symphony of 4 flavours

At the heart of Hanoi Hotel’s mooncake heritage is the presence of the signature White Lotus Paste, a staple in every mooncake collection since the very beginning. Under the guidance of Chinese Executive Chef Li Jian Chuan, the hotel's pastry artisans diligently continue to preserve precisely the timeless taste that generations of customers have come to love, ensuring each bite embodies the elegance of traditional Hong Kong craftsmanship.

Balancing time-honored tradition with innovation, the 2025 lineup also introduces a new twist on a beloved classic: Red Bean filling. Featuring a naturally sweet, smooth filling blended with hearty crushed beans, this new texture adds a rustic charm and nutty depth, offering a refined yet authentic flavour in every bite.

Following its popularity as a customer favourite, Mixed Nuts mooncake makes a triumphant comeback. Perfectly combining premium almonds, walnuts, cashews, ham, and other traditional ingredients, this crowd-pleaser offers a delightful blend of richness and crunch that is both nostalgic and distinctive.

After a brief absence last year, the refreshing Pandan filling - an aromatic delight infused with natural pandan essence - returns. Encased in a golden crust, it offers a bright, lightly sweet taste that rounds out the festive collection with grace and charm.

The crust that whispers perfection

Beyond fillings, it is the golden crust that sets these mooncakes apart. Chef Li Jian Chuan noted: “A perfect mooncake must have a fragrant, thin, and shiny crust when perfectly baked, encasing a round salted egg yolk within, symbolic of the full moon. It is this harmony between savoury and subtly sweet that defines our signature mooncake experience”. Available in Large, Medium, and Small sizes, each cake is made to suit different needs and preferences.

From artisan hands to assured excellence

All of our mooncakes are meticulously handcrafted with a secret recipe and premium ingredients, assisted by machines for packaging. The products go through rigorous quality control, certified by the TSL Testing Centre and Hanoi’s Department of Industry and Trade for food safety assurance.

When tea embraces the mooncake

To enrich the tasting experience, Hanoi Hotel introduces two new premium teas this year: Lotus Tea and Jasmine Oolong Tea, specially curated to complement the mooncakes. The gentle floral aroma and subtle astringency of lotus tea harmonise beautifully with the sweet mooncake and the savoury salted egg yolk, leaving a pleasant aftertaste. The Jasmine Oolong tea, on the other hand, enhances both digestion and fat breakdown with its elegant bitterness and calming scent, offering a lot of health benefits and creating a memorable experience when savoured with mooncakes.

Gifting elegance – Boxes of timeless beauty

This year’s Mooncake Collection features 6 exquisitely crafted box designs, offering various options for gifting. Each box is adorned with embossed gold accents on lacquered wood using 3D printing technology, reflecting the artistry of Mid-Autumn storytelling through the imagery of white lunar rabbits, festive lanterns, and Blue Chrysanthemums beneath a golden moon.
