Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi Crowned Top Hotel in Town by Travel + Leisure
HANOI (Aug. 11, 2017) - Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi is once again the talk of the town, after being hailed as the best hotel in the city by Travel + Leisure.
Vietnam’s most storied hotel scoops four prestigious international awards
Travel + Leisure’s World's Best Awards is an annual survey that allows readers to vote on their favourite travel destinations, hotels, resorts, cruise lines and more.
In August, Vietnam’s most storied hotel was unequivocally named the ‘No. 1 Hotel in Hanoi’ by readers of the prestigious travel publication, while also winning ‘The Heritage and Culture Award’ in the annual Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Grand and Gold Awards 2017.
The annual PATA Grand Awards are supported by the Macao Government Tourism Office and presented to outstanding properties in four principal categories: Marketing, Education and Training, Environment, and Heritage and Culture.
“We are delighted to have been recognised by such prestigious organizations and publications as PATA and Travel + Leisure. We look forward to delivering an even greater level of luxury and service to our guests who choose to stay with us,” said Mr. William J. Haandrikman, General Manager of the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi.
But the accolades don’t stop there. The Metropole was also named as one of the ‘Top 25 Leisure Hotels’ in the world by Smart Travel Asia readers and awarded one of the ‘Top 100 Best Hotels in the World’ by World Travel Magazine.
Smart Travel Asia, an independent online travel magazine, conducted the poll from May to June 2017 with an estimated 30,000 respondents.
The 100 List, is an annual shortlist of the best hotels and resorts in the world as judged by the Singapore-based luxury travel publication, World Travel Magazine
