Mr. Kang Jin Chul: “Golf in Vietnam is on a strong growth track”

Accompany Vietnam GOLF & Leisure to talk with the director of N&M Company - Kang Jin Chul about the passion and potential of golf in the S-shaped country.

Why did you choose Vietnam to develop your career, golf accounts for what percentage of your work?

Initially, my father came to Vietnam to do charity work, he had an orientation to Vietnam because this is a country with potential for development in Asia with the direction of development following the path that Korea has followed in the past years. before. After graduating in Korea, I had the opportunity to work as an exchange student in Vietnam, and from there I decided to choose Vietnam as the place to develop my career. About 80% of my clients play golf, so golf takes up most of my time in my work and life.

Is Vietnam an "easy to live" country for foreigners?

I feel comfortable living in Vietnam, the happiness index of the people here is also very high. I am a traditional person, so I really enjoy life in Vietnam, from culture, people to food. I live in the Korean community in Ho Chi Minh, surrounded by Korean cuisine, it makes me feel very comfortable like a miniature Seoul in Ho Chi Minh.

What is interesting about golf in Vietnam and Korea?

Korea is a developed country in golf. For comparison, I see that Vietnam is similar to Korea of 10 years ago, a country that is also developing strongly in golf, especially 3D golf modeling. Golf has gradually become more popular to all Koreans, all can play and it has created the wave of golf that thrives in Korea today.

Does Vietnam have a chance to catch up with Korean golf in the coming years?

Certainly yes. Vietnam knows how to stay ahead of the market and grasp trends quite quickly. I believe that every person with passion, learning and hard work, success will come very quickly.

In your opinion, which golf service in Korea is developing? Is that a suggestion for businesses that want to develop in the Vietnamese golf market?

In recent years, 3D golf is very developed in Vietnam and many Vietnamese businesses have also exploited this product. This can be a potential new direction for businesses to find quality products from Korea. In addition, fashion brands can also be a suggestion, because this item is still quite small and not diverse enough to meet the needs of an increasing number of Vietnamese golfers.

Are you planning to further expand your golf business?

Recently, I have seen the potential in the golf field, so I have a plan to expand more golf products. I hope to bring many valuable and quality Korean products to Vietnam. My plan is to launch a golf fashion brand in Vietnam in the near future.
