Long Drive World Series - Battlefield of the longest drivers
The LDWS field is made up of 8 of the very best players long drive has ever seen. As the players are from all over the world, they have never been in the same event before.
The first event is on March 17th in Dubai at Jumeirah Golf Estates – the home of the season-ending finale of The European Tour’s Race to Dubai, the DP World Tour Championship. The Tour then travels to London, to Asia and finally to America.
This event is held to make golf more fun and to attract a different kind of television viewer to the sport. The players will all come on to their own theme tunes (songs), there will be sudden death knockouts at every round, the action will be very fast (they have 3 minutes to hit as many balls as possible to beat their opponents.
The prize fund for the first event in Dubai is USD 50,000. The amount will grow at each event.
