Laguna Golf Lăng Cô honoured as 'Top 10 Best Golf Courses in Vietnam'
Lang Co Town, Thua Thien Hue Province, (20th July, 2018): Laguna Golf Lăng Cô has been honoured at the 2018 Vietnam Tourism Awards.Underlining its burgeoning global reputation, the Nick Faldo-designed layout was named among the Top 10 Best Golf Courses in Vietnam.
Prestigious accolade for Nick Faldo masterpiece
Inaugurated in 1999, the Vietnam Tourism Awards honour businesses and individuals who have been influential in the development of Vietnam tourism.
In commemoration of the 58th anniversary of Vietnam tourism sector, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), in collaboration with the Vietnam Tourism Association (VITA) and the Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism, feted this year’s award winners at a lavish ceremony at Hanoi’s Viet Xo Friendship Cultural Palace.

Located within Laguna Lăng Cô’s international integrated resort, the 18-hole, par-71 championship course is the home of the Faldo Series Asia Grand Final, featuring many of the region’s most decorated junior golfers.
Nestled between mountains and sea on a sandy strip of dune land that is perfect for golf, six-time Major champion Sir Nick has described the course as one of his finest pieces of architectural work.
Sir Nick said: “I am truly delighted to bring the Faldo Asia Series Grand Final to Vietnam and Laguna Lăng Cô, a course which I visit often and I am most proud of designing.
“We knew this golf course was going to be different … and hopefully special because you play through different environments. At Laguna Lăng Cô, we have six different environments. You go through the rice fields to the jungle and then there’s a bit of a sand dune. Then we’ve got beach and river and rocks, then back to the river and then we finish with all the sand.
“So, I think it’s a very cool calling card for Faldo Design and I think it’s great spot for Banyan Tree Group to host events. I think they can host whatever they want here.”
