BRG Open Golf Championship Danang 2022 hosts up to 144 golfers 11:10, 27/07/2022

Danang Golf Tourism Festival 2022 will include typical activities such as: International Conference on Golf Tourism Development, activities related to golf, culinary promotion activities, charity activities, Danang tour program, Miss Golf, and especially the BRG Open Golf Championship Danang 2022, part of the Asian Development Tour (ADT) system of the Asian Tour.

With the message "Infinite Connections", the BRG Open Golf Championship Danang 2022 promises to be an attractive destination this August. With the symbol of bridges - one of the outstanding features of Da Nang, this year's tournament is an opportunity to connect Vietnamese Golf and World Golf, the intersection of sports values, culture, and people. At the same time, this is also a stepping stone for reaching out and bringing the image of Vietnam closer to international friends.

The tournament is considered as a boost to the development of golf tourism in Vietnam and is the truest answer to why Vietnam is continuously voted as "Asia's Most Attractive Golf Destination" and “Most attractive golf destination in the world”.

Mr. Tran Phuoc Son - Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee, Head of the Festival Department said: "Danang is famous as a tourist city with beautiful beaches, and high-class golf courses designed by world legends such as Jack Nicklaus or Greg Norman. This is the first time that Danang City organizes such a large-scale golf festival. We believe that this event, with the highlight of the BRG Open Golf Championship Da Nang, will bring great media value on a global scale, contributing to spreading beautiful images of people, nature, and landscapes of Vietnam, attracting golf lovers as well as tourists to our country.”

In the first time Danang City hosts an international golf event, the companion of BRG Group - a pioneer in the development of golf sport and golf tourism in Vietnam, in the role title sponsor continues to affirm the Group's commitment to the development of Danang city in general and the golf tourism industry in Da Nang in particular.

Mr. Ken Kudo, representing the Asian Development Tour shared: “We are very pleased to receive an offer from Danang City, BRG Group to host a tournament in ADT's system this year. Vietnam golf is experiencing rapid development in recent years, with many quality golf courses that meet international competition standards such as BRG Da Nang Golf Resort. In the past, Vietnam has also successfully hosted many major tournaments of the Asian Tour. Therefore, we believe that this event will continue to be an important milestone for Vietnamese golf, especially for Danang city. Our golfers are looking forward to coming to Vietnam to play and experience golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus and Greg Norman.”

The tournament is sponsored by the Vietnam Golf Association, expected to host up to 144 international and Vietnamese professional golfers, including 01 Pro-Am tournament and 03 official tournament rounds for professional golfers. There will be a cut after 36 holes, the top 50 golfers in the rankings and a tie will compete in the final round to receive prize money, with a total prize of 75,000 USD.
