Conditions of Competition for "VGM Junior Trophy 2016"
- 1. TOURNAMENT MANAGEMENT
1.1 Management
The 1st VGM Junior Trophy 2016 (hereinafter referred to as the Championship) shall be managed by a Tournament Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Committee) whose decisions in all matters relating to the Championship shall be final.

- 2. VENUE AND DATE
The Tournament shall be played over BRG LEGEND HILL GOLF RESORT, Soc Son, Hanoi, Vietnam from 14th - 15th October 2016

- 4. ELIGIBILITY
The Championship is open to BOYS and GIRLS Under 18 years old (Born after 1/1/1998) who are Amateur Golfers in accordance with the Rules of Amateur Status as approved by the R&A Rules Limited and will be conducted over the following age group:

Note:
In the event of less than 4 players registered in a categories, the Committee will merge the groups and announce officially before the tournament begin.
- 5. FORMAT OF PLAY
- • For U10 Category, the tournament shall be decided by Stableford over one (1) round of 9 holes.
- • For all other age group, the tournament shall be decided by Stableford over one (1) round of 18 holes.
STABLEFORD FORMAT GUIDE:
- • Stableford Competition is still a STROKE PLAY format, except that scoring is based on fixed score of each hole.
- • The scoring in Stableford competition is made by POINT awarded in relation to a fixed score at each hole as follow:

- • The winner shall be the competitor who score the highest number of points at the end of the Championship.
- 6. PRIZES
THE 1ST VGM JUNIOR TROPHY 2016
Prizes will be awarded as follows:
- 1. Champion VGM JT 2016 - Overall Highest Points (Except Category U10)
- 2. Winner, 1st and 2nd Runner Up - Highest Points in Each Category
- 7. ENTRIES AND CLOSING DATE
Entry fee is 300.000 VND (Two Millions and three hundred thousand Vietnamese Dong) per person inclusive of Green fee and caddie fee (Not including tips) for one official practice round and one tournament round, prizes, welcome dinner and closing ceremony.
01parent (father or mother/ relative) of the participant is invited to the awards ceremony, provincial golfers who register and pay the participation fee before 31/9/2016 are supported with 2-night accommodation. Transportation between hotel and golf course is provided.
No refunds will be entertained if withdrawal from the competition is made after the closing date.
- • All entries are base on fisrt come first serve basis.
- • The Committee reserves the right to reject any entry without giving any reason. The field will be limited to 84 players.
- • All entries are to be made on the Official Entry Form and submit to Vietnam Golf Magazine by 4:00 pm Tuesday, 5th October 2016:

- • Cheques/bank drafts are to be made payable to ‘Vietnam Golf Magazine”. Entry forms without payments will not be confirmed. Those unable to register within the stipulated times, must inform in advance the Registration Manager / Organizing Committee.

- 8. WITHDRAWAL
Withdrawal from the Championship will not be entertained after 5th October 2016 and there will not be any refunds of the entry fees made.
- 9. RULES OF PLAY
The Rules of Golf and Rules of Amateur Status as approved by R&A Rules Ltd and The USGA, their interpretations as contained in the “Decisions on the Rules of Golf”, this Conditions of Competition, VGA Championship Hard Card 2016 and any additional Conditions of Competition together with the additional Local Rules established by the Tournament Committee for the Competition.
- 10. DRAWS & STARTING TIMES
- ¤ The Tournament Committee will make the draws and the starting times for the official rounds and will be send to the player and posted at the Clubhouse and the Official Hotel. Such posting will be considered sufficient notice for information and distribution. The Committee reserves the right to vary the starting times, at its absolute discretion, before tee-off time.
- ¤ The player shall start at the time laid down by the Tournament Committee. In the absence of circumstances which warrant waiving the penalty of disqualification as provided in Rule 33-7:
- • If a player arrives at his starting point ready to play within five minutes after his starting time, the penalty for failure to start on time shall be two strokes at the starting hole instead of disqualification.

- 11. TRANSPORTATION
Players must not ride on any form of transportation during a stipulated round unless authorized by the Committee.
PENALTY FOR BREACH OF CONDITION:
Two strokes for each hole at which any breached occurred. Maximum penalty per round: Four strokes. Use of any unauthorized form of transportation must be discontinued immediately upon discovery that a breach has occurred. Otherwise, the player is DISQUALIFIED.
- 12. CADDIE
Private caddie are not allowed in this tournament. Each player will be assign 01 caddie for all competition days of the tournament.
PENALTY FOR BREACH OF CONDITION:
Two strokes for each hole at which any breached occurred. Maximum penalty per round: Four strokes. A player having a caddie in breach of this condition must immediately upon discovery that a breach has occurred ensure that he conforms with this condition for the remainder of the stipulated round. Otherwise, the player is DISQUALIFIED.
- 13. DECISIONS OF TIES
In the event of a tie, the tie shall be decided by a count-back system of matching scorecards in the following order:
- 1. Last 9 holes / Last 5 holes*
- 2. Last 6 holes / Last 3 holes*
- 3. Last 3 holes / Last 2 holes*
- 4. And finally the last hole (18th hole)
- 5. In the case the result still in a tie, the winner will be decide by lot.
Note: Where there is more than one (1) point start, it is considered that the last 9 holes, last 6 holes, last 3 holes and the last hole is considered to be holes for 10 – 18, 13 – 18, 16 – 18, and the 18th hole.

- 14. INDEMNITY / LIABILITIES
In signing the Entry Form, participants in this Championship shall indemnify and not hold liable, VGM, VGA, the Sponsors, the Organizers or the Host Club for any loss or damages to their equipment or personal belongings or harm or any form of injuries that the participants may suffer as a result of the participation in this Championship.
- 15. DECISIONS
If the Committee has appointed a referee, his/her decision is final (Rule 34-2). In the absence of a referee, any dispute or doubtful point on the Rules shall be referred to the Tournament Committee, whose decision shall be final (Rule 34-3).
