Counting down to await The Dàlat at 1200 International Ladies Championship

With the hosting of the high-profile tournament and related media exposure, The Dàlat at 1200 will bring regional and international recognition to the South Central Highlands province of Lam Dong.  The New York Times recently mentioned Dalat, the province’s charming capital city, as one of ‘52 Places to Go in 2016’ and singled out The Dàlat at 1200 for a special mention.

“We are really looking forward to the attention this prestigious tournament will bring to Lam Dong Province,” said a representative of the local People’s Committee. “This exciting event will help highlight the magnificence of the Central Highlands just as Dalat’s airport prepares to expand its international flight schedule.”

“Our 2016 Ladies Championship – which is the first in a three-year contract – will bring some of the brightest and most talented female golfers to The Dàlat at 1200,” said Mr Nguyen Viet Quy, General Director of The Dàlat at 1200. “With this event, we are not only hosting a professional championship featuring competitors from across Asia-Pacific, but also promoting golf to a new generation of young Vietnamese women who are interested in taking up the sport.”

The championship will feature 108 international golfers from leading Asian-Pacific countries Korea, Australia, Thailand, Singapore, Myanmar and Vietnam. Guests and viewers can get a glimpse of the will and determination of such famed athletes as Ahn Shin Ae, Lee Jung Min, Ko Jin Young, Yoon Chae Young và Nguyễn Thảo My.

To open, The Dàlat at 1200 will host a two-day Pro-Am, which provides individuals the opportunity to play alongside professional international golfers who will compete in the tournament. The Ladies Championship will then have a practice day on 24 March before beginning the three-day tournament.

The tournament will be broadcast live via SBS Golf and Info TV and will feature live play for three consecutive days, for five hours a day from 12:30 until 17:30 on 25, 26 and 27 March 2016, both domestically and abroad. In addition to aerial and panoramic perspectives, viewers will learn more about the golfers and the tournament through live commentary and interviews with both domestic and international experts.

In hosting such an international tournament, The Dàlat at 1200 aims to bring Lam Dong Province a world-class golfing event while also showcasing the best the region has to offer. Famed for its beautiful mountain scenery, variety of outdoor lifestyle activities and fresh year-round temperatures of 18-24 °C, Lam Dong will soon also be known for its close proximity to other Southeast Asian cities and growing opportunities for both resort-style and championship golf.

“My team has worked relentlessly to bring our world-class course to maturity over the past six months and I am very pleased to see their hard work being showcased nationally and internationally during the event,” said Mr David Hill, General Manager of The Dàlat at 1200. “I am also excited to share, our first residential units and resort residences will be on line by the end of 2016, ranging from 84 m2 to over 800 m2 while our Clubhouse will be completed before the end of this year to provide outstanding service to our members, owners and guests.”

“We are excited to host The Dàlat at 1200 Ladies Championship this March,” Mr Tang Kay Hwa, Executive Director of The Dàlat at 1200, said. “This, the first professional ladies tournament to be held in Vietnam, is a great opportunity to showcase Lam Dong Province, Dalat City and, especially, our breathtaking private estate.”
