Can you share the reason for the launch of the contest “Miss Golf Vietnam”?

Personally, I have a huge passion for golf. As a traveller in genera and golf tourism i particular from more han a decade ago - when the number of golfers in Vietnam was just approximately 5,000 people, I was always worried about the future of the golf industry in Vietnam. Seeing the development of golf entertainment, golf televsion, golf tourism and the growth of women's golf, I suddenly came up with the idea of building an unprecedented competition in the world: Find the most beautiful among golf beauties. MGV was born from there.

What difficulties did the organizers face during the competition?

MGV 2022 is the first beauty contest associated with golf appearing in the world and in Vietnam. Because it was the first time, the Organizing Committee encountered many difficulties in all aspects, from calling for sponsors to finding candidates, including organizing the operation... With their determination and luck to meet the sponsors. enthusiastically sponsoring golf such as Goldsun Focus Media, NovaGroup, Laguna Lăng Cô... we overcame the initial difficulties to make the competition a success beyond expectations.

Compared to other beauty contests, what is the difference about MGV?

In 2022, there are nearly 30 beauty contests and MGV is a new playground in the beauty garden in Vietnam. However, we are proud to be a unique and different competition, because it is unique in Vietnam and in the world associated with golf. MGV is a beauty arena between talented and young golfer beauties who soon achieved certain achievements in their careers. Legendary Greg Norman, Vietnam's tourism ambassador, once advised me: "You have to spread this contest and register your trademark in countries with a developed golf industry as soon as possible. Please register immediately for Miss Golf US, Miss Golf UK, Miss Golf Australia…”. That is a great source of encouragement for me in particular and the MGV organizers in particular.

The women's golf movement is growing with an increasing number of female golfers. Is this a premise for this year's MGV to be successful?

To be fair, MGV is creating a trend to strongly develop the women's golf movement in Vietnam. In the initial stages of enrollment, we faced certain difficulties in finding qualified candidates. The golf training strategy at Royal Golf's academy system for low-qualified candidates has helped MGV form a team of really quality contestants.

In addition, it must be recognized that some potential female golfers do not know the contest information to participate in the first season. With the success and buzz of MGV 2022, many quality contestants have registered for season 2, promising an explosive next MGV season in terms of candidate quality. 

MGV's candidate selection criteria are very high. How do you rate this year's contestants? What makes MGV attract qualified candidates?

For an ordinary beauty contest, finding quality contestants was already difficult. A beauty contest in which the contestants are all golfers is even more difficult. We are proud that MGV 2022 has many qualified candidates, very good academic background and working position.

The most attractive thing of MGV is that we create for female golfers a common playground to show their talent and beauty. The contestants themselves have had certain successes in their fields of work, so having an attractive common ground to connect and shine together is the key to creating the attraction of MGV. .

What do you expect from the next edition of MGV?

In order to continuously and strongly implement the two missions that we have chosen: to develop the women's golf movement in Vietnam and promote the image of Vietnamese golf to the world, the MGV will be held annually, at different locations. different locations - where owns a beautiful golf course in Vietnam.

As the Head of the Organizing Committee, what I hope the most is still to discover the shining gems - potential and qualified candidates to inspire the development of the women's golf movement and build golf tourism promotion materials. Vietnam, aiming for the title of World's Best Golf Destination.

What do you think about Miss Golf Vietnam 2022 - Miss Le Thanh Tu?

Le Thanh Tu is an excellent contestant of the first season of MGV. Tu always performed very well in all rounds and activities of the competition. From the stage to the golf course, Tu exudes the aura of someone who will take the top spot. Tu also supports other contestants to hone their catwalk skills and motivates them with her abundant energy. The finalists highly appreciated Tu. Not only that, she can also communicate well in English to interact with foreign partners in the process of promoting Vietnamese golf to international friends.

Through the MGV event, what can you do to develop the women's golf movement better?

Currently, MGV has become the destination of many female golf lovers in Vietnam. We have received hundreds of messages to register for MGV season 2 at the contest's fanpage. The organization of the annual MGV is a great inspiration for female golfers to continuously cultivate to become the most perfect version of themselves.

In addition, we are simultaneously implementing many projects to develop the golf movement in general and women's golf in particular, including the project of the Royal Golf Academy system using the Golfastrack method across 3 regions with learning Reasonable fees help many people access golf and the Knowhole project helps golfers play better their rounds based on "virtual caddy" providing tactical advice at each hole.

What are your upcoming plans?

In addition to implementing MGV and the above 2 projects, I am preparing to release a French album and launch the Swing & Sing program in collaboration with golfers who are singers and musicians.
