InterContinental Hanoi Landmark72 welcomes the fourth edition of Korean Gastronomy Week, a ten-day celebration of Korea’s rich culinary traditions and cultural heritage. This year’s edition invites guests to discover the essence of the Korean table through a thoughtful expression of its time-honoured ingredients, seasonal fruits and traditional spirits.

Bringing together acclaimed guest chefs, master practitioners, skilled bartenders and cultural specialists from Korea, the event unfolds across a curated collection of dining experiences, workshops and cultural activities. Each experience offers a glimpse into the traditions and contemporary creativity that continue to shape Korean cuisine.

More than a celebration of food, Korean Gastronomy Week offers an immersive journey into the spirit of Korea where heritage meets modernity. The event will happen from 16th – 25th October 2026.

Part 1. A Contemporary Interpretation of Korean Fine Dining

Enter a world where Korea’s culinary heritage is elevated through the lens of contemporary fine dining, with our guest chefs bringing together time-honoured flavours, exceptional ingredients and refined techniques.

Korean Gastronomy Week begins at Stellar Steakhouse with Chef Kim Won-ki for a special Korean contemporary food and wine pairing dinner.

Chef Kim Won-ki brings more than 20 years of experience to the Korean culinary scene, shaped by extensive training across leading hotel kitchens and years in restaurant operations and management. Born in Seoul, he spent approximately a decade honing his craft across butchery, bakery, pastry, bread, ice cream, buffet and French cuisine. At Ong-i – a Korean fine dining restaurant in Hannam, Seoul, Chef Kim explores the depth and versatility of Korean cuisine through carefully composed menus and a thoughtful approach to ingredients and cooking methods.

At the event, his set menu begins with OmyNara Sparkling Wine “Kyol”, followed by a sequence of Korean-inspired dishes paired with French wines, concluded with dessert accompanied by Gowoon Dar - OmyNara’s premium distilled spirit, adding a final note of Korean character to the evening.

A Taste of Korea at 3 Spoons

3 Spoons welcomes Guest Chef Hwang Nam Yeon (Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas) and Chef Kang Hyun Oh (Parnas Jeju) for a special Korean culinary showcase.

The chefs will present a selection of Korean specialties featuring this year’s highlighted ingredients, including traditional Korean spirits, fermented ingredients, premium chicken, gingseng and seafood. The experience offers guests the opportunity to enjoy familiar Korean flavours alongside regional ingredients and seasonal produce. A Korean spirit tasting featuring Andong Soju will also accompany the events, introducing guests to the special character of traditional Korean beverages.

Korean Cooking Class with Guest Chefs

Join Chef Hwang Nam Yeon of Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas and Chef Kang Hyun Oh of Parnas Jeju for a cooking class featuring Korean signature dishes. Designed as a hands-on journey into Korean cuisine, the session offers guests a closer look at the techniques, ingredients and culinary philosophy behind the dishes.

Korean Rice Cake Making Class with Chef Kim Okhee

Discover the traditional techniques behind Korean rice cakes in a hands-on class with Chef Kim Okhee, from shaping and preparation to the cultural significance embedded within these ceremonial and everyday delicacies.

Andong Soju Heritage Tasting

17 October from 6.00PM | Price: VND590,000++

Join a special Andong Soju Workshop led by Mr.Kim Yoonkeun - Director Cho Ok-hwa Andong Soju (the third-generation successor of Andong Soju). With a tradition passed down through generations, Andong Soju is one of Korea’s most recognised traditional spirits. The legacy of the Jo Cho Ok-hwa family is closely tied to the preservation of traditional Andong Soju-making methods, with Master Jo Ok-hwa honoured as a Korean Food Grand Master for her contribution to this heritage.

During the workshop, guests will discover the story behind Andong Soju, from its traditional production methods to its distinctive character, gaining a deeper appreciation of one of Korea’s longstanding spirits.

Experience the traditions of Korean tea through a masterclass led by a Korean Tea Sommelier Kim Jin Pyeong - Vice President and Chair of the Tea Division of the Korea International Sommelier Association.

With experience as a national tea sommelier champion, tea competition judge and examiner for tea sommelier certification, he will guide guests through the nuances of Korean tea from its aromas and flavours to the rituals and philosophy that surround its preparation.

Special Guest Shift at Q Bar

23rd – 24th October | Price: VND 390,000net/ per drink

Q Bar welcomes the celebrated Seoul bartender Jin Hwan Kim (Jay Namite), owner-bartender of Bar Swallow in Seoul. A recognized name in Korea’s bartending scene, Kim was the winner of Diageo World Class Korea 2018 and Beefeater MIXLDN Korea 2017, and has represented Korea at international bartending competitions.

He will showcase his signature approach to cocktails at Q Bar, blending refined techniques with modern Korean influences. On the second evening, he will be joined by a Vietnamese guest bartender for a special four-hands collaboration. Guests can expect a lively evening of cocktails, creativity and Seoul-inspired bar culture high above Hanoi.

Part 3. The Cultural Spirit of Korea

Korean Gastronomy Week also introduces a selection of cultural experiences celebrating music, beauty, flowers and traditional folk art.

K-Beauty & Wellness Workshop

The K-Beauty & Skincare Workshop offers an elegant and practical introduction to the philosophy behind modern Korean beauty.

Guests will experience advanced skin analysis through an AI Beauty Mirror and professional skin analysis device, with personalised results available via QR code. Blending beauty quizzes, real-life cases and skincare insights tailored to Hanoi’s environment, the workshop offers a refined yet approachable way to better understand one’s skin and create a more considered, sustainable beauty ritual.

K-Flower Arrangement Workshop

22nd October from 11AM | Price: VND 2,200,000++

Step into the refined world of Korean floral design, where seasonal blooms, organic forms and thoughtful composition come together in an expression of quiet elegance. This hands-on workshop invites guests to discover the distinctive beauty of Korean floral aesthetics, learning to balance colour, texture and natural movement to create an arrangement inspired by the simplicity of nature.

The experience is led by floral designer Ah Ram, a certified floral instructor and holder of Korea’s National Technical Qualification in Floral Design, and owner of Moriah Flower, with studies at Nature Flower Academy. She will bring a considered perspective to the art of floral design, combining Korean sensibility with a broader international approach to flowers and composition.

Traditional Korean Minhwa Exhibition

16th - 25th October

Guests are invited to explore the distinctive world of Korean Minhwa - traditional folk painting celebrated for its expressive aesthetics, symbolic imagery and storytelling.

More than decorative art, Minhwa reflects the hopes, beliefs and everyday lives of generations of Koreans. Its vibrant visual language offers a fascinating window into Korea’s cultural imagination, complementing the festival’s broader celebration of heritage and contemporary interpretation.
