Press release: VGM Championship 2016 – Mercedes Trophy Qualifier 2017  10:24, 02/11/2016

In order to create an interesting playground for golfers and promote the golf movement, as well as golf tourism in the north, Vietnam Golf Magazine has continued cooperating with Mercedes-Benz Vietnam to organize the tournament Vietnam Golf Magazine Championship 2016 and  Mercedes Trophy Qualifier 2017 "in BRG Legend Hill Golf Resort on November 20^th 2016.

Coming to the tournament, golfers will have opportunity to conquer one of the most beautiful and high-class golf courses of "twin green" design (each hole has 2 greens), as well as receive many awards, especially for Hole-in-One, and special presents for lucky draw.

The tournament is expected to attract the participation of 144 golfers who are guests of honor, entrepreneurs and members of golf clubs, as well as foreigners living and working in Vietnam. At the same time this is also a part of the Mercedes Trophy Qualifier 2017.

Players will be divided into Categories A, B, C (for amateur golfers) and Junior (for golfers under 18); format of play is stroke play with daily Handicap using System 36 format (divided categories basing on registered HDC). Besides, golfers who are non-amateurs will be categorized in Division D (Open division) and apply format of stroke play over 18 holes.

In addition to prizes for the title of Champion (Best gross), Division Best Net, Division Runner up, the tournament also have technical awards for Longest Drive (men and women) and Nearest to the Pin. 5 golfers with the best score (who owns Mercedes cars) will be honored to be invited to participate the National Mercedes Trophy Final 2017 and Asian Final.

Beside many Hole-in-one prizes, golfers participating will have opportunity to receive many other valuable rewards such as Honma golf clubs sponsored by VH Golf Company, international round-trip airfares by Vietnam Airlines, golf clubs by famous companies, resort vouchers, golf playing at 5 star resorts, etc.

With the desire to bring the most success to the tournament and make an impression on Vietnam golf community we, the organizers, have prepared carefully in all aspects for the upcoming tournament.
