Lifestart Foundation Charity Ride 2017

There is a charity program named Lifestart Foundation Charity Ride which will be held in April 2017  to fundraise sponsorship for students to attend University. The LSF Charity Ride needs 20 participants who will cycle 750 km on the bike over the course of 10 days in Central Vietnam. Each rider will raise a minimum $2,500 USD to fully sponsor one student for one year of University.

The Lifestart Foundation (LSF) is a grassroots, not-for-profit charity that helps disadvantaged Vietnamese people and their families to become self-sufficient. Founded in 2000 by Australian Karen Leonard and supported by a team of dedicated volunteers, the Foundation applies a holistic approach to helping those in need through proven working programs and initiatives which are designed to effect a generational change.

Currently, LSF's largest project is Education Scholarships for disadvantaged students. LSF believes that every child should have the opportunity to complete an education and for over 15 years has been actively assisting students in Hoi An, Vietnam and its surrounding regions to achieve this. Scholarships are available to children who are at risk of not being able to continue with their education because of financial difficulties. Scholarships include the provision of school fees, extra classes, books, stationery, uniforms and transport where needed.

Even though having received a lot of great support from the generous international sponsors to help these students complete Secondary and High School, LSF now need to find continued sponsorship for these students to attend University. It is only when these students have completed their University degrees that they will be truly be able to break the poverty cycle.

Lifestart Foundation Charity Ride 2017 is more than a bike trip – it’s an inspiring journey with like-minded people who are united by their passion for making a difference. Each rider raises funds for a Lifestart Foundation Educational Scholarship recipient.
