Eastgate Cup 2020: Vietnamese entrepreneurs playing golf and doing charity in Sydney  09:38, 01/12/2020

Despite the harsh weather conditions with a heatwave and strong winds, 65 golfers competed for the tournament organised by Eastgate Group - an organisation promoting trade, finance and real estate.The event is honoured to coordinate with the members of AVGA -  Australian Vietnamese Golf Association, to bring together Vietnamese business people who are working and living in NSW to play golf, while connecting and socialising.

According to Mr Allan Nguyen - CEO of Eastgate Group, the organiser has also cooperated with EzyRemit Worldwide to call out Vietnamese business people to join a fundraising program which supports flood victims at Central Vietnam. Some artifacts and valuable items were auctioned for funds, which raised the total amount to A$ 8720 (equivalent to nearly VND150,000,000).

According to Mr Quoc Anh Ngo - CEO of Ezyremit Worldwide, all the funds raised will be transferred to the Song Foundation to build floating houses for people in flood areas.

Also at the event, many prizes were awarded to the best golfers of the tournament. Golfer Le Minh Kha with a gross score of 87 and a net score of 65 has excellently won the prestigious championship trophy of the Eastgate Cup 2020.

Besides, the Eastgate Cup 2020 has also found the winners of the Men's, Ladies and Callaway divisions.

The winner in the Men's Division is golfer Van Bang Tran. Top 3 position of this group belongs to golfers Van An Tran, Van Cuong Luong and Duc Quang Nguyen respectively.

The Ladies Division observed a tough race with a close victory belonging to the young golfer Megan Vu. Following Megan's score, golfer Huyen Truong and Amy Huang are in the top 2.

In the Callaway Division, golfer Hung Hai Vu overcame the rest of the golfers and won a resounding victory. Top 3 of the Callaway Division belonged to golfers Hoang Tung Nguyen, Quoc Anh Ngo and Duy Hoang Nguyen.

Besides, some technical awards were also awarded at the Eastgate Cup 2020, with the Longest Drive award to golfer Van Cuong Luong and the three Nearest To Pin prizes to golfer Henry Tran, Duc Quang Nguyen and Hoa Keo respectively.

'This is a social and meaningful event where Vietnamese people, wherever they are, have the opportunity to support their homeland in their own way,' stated an enthusiastic golfer attended.
