Let’s get your swing in order!
What is the meaning of ‘Good Swing’?
In golf, there is no perfect swing. Each golfer swings the club differently and this is one of the reasons the game of golf is so unique. What is more important is the ability of the player to repeat his/her swing consistently. By repeating the same swing, a golfer can shoot better scores. However, many golfers like to work on creating what is known as the “Perfect Swing”. This is a swing that looks poetic, is fluid in motion and has all the right characteristics that professionals teach.
Are the definitions of ‘Beautiful Swing’ and ‘Good Swing’ similar?
I think that Beautiful and Good swings are similar in meaning. Both relate to the fluidness of the player’s swing and how effortless the action is when swinging the club. However, both meanings could have different understandings depending on who is commenting. For me a Good Swing is solid, repeatable and better than a Beautiful Swing which may look good – but is not consistent and harder to repeat.
